JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for performing duties to ensure that the Reno facility operates in an orderly, efficient and safe manner. This position oversees the operation of the base-building systems, building infrastructure, day-to-day housekeeping requirements and TSM facilities-related work requests. The scope of duties includes making mechanical/electrical repairs, performing light preventive maintenance, working with or coordinating contracted outside services, assisting in internal reconfigurations and relocations and doing other work in support of business unit initiatives. Works under direct supervision.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Tours the assigned building (Reno Call Center) including mechanical/air handler rooms, PDU (Power Distribution Unit) room and Data Center to ensure that the systems are functioning properly.

  • Investigates electrical, plumbing, HVAC or general maintenance problems and tries to resolve.

  • Reports all unusual conditions to Facilities Operations Supervisor or Facilities Manager

  • Performs electrical work (installation of new circuits, switches, outlets, light fixtures, etc.) and/or carpentry work (minor construction, renovations, repairs) as requested.

  • Works with and/or oversees trade contractors performing preventive maintenance or scheduled/emergency repairs.

  • Orders necessary repair parts, supplies and hardware.

  • Sets up conference rooms and cafeteria for meetings and events, as required.

  • Responds to TSM facilities-related work requests including space conditioning (too hot/cold) calls and to building and medical emergencies as a "First Responder".

  • Maintains housekeeping in mechanical, boilers and equipment rooms and label identification of electrical panels, disconnects, shutoff valves for all new work or rework.

  • Performs repairs/replacement of fixtures such as perimeter fan units, doors, locks, light fixtures/lamps, microwaves and clears drains.

  • Assists in interoffice moves including furniture installations and electrical reconfigurations.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required.

  • Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including World Wide Business Standards.

  • Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.

*Experience: *

Two to five years of experience in facilities, building services, or related area required including HVAC.

*Education: *

High school diploma, trade or technical school, or the equivalent required.

*Specialized Knowledge and Skills: *

Knowledge of one or more learned trades, good verbal and written communication skills, and basic computer skills.
